I have 25 years of experience and have worked In the USA as well as New Zealand. I have worked with clients from multiple ethnicities and have also lived in Asia, Africa and Europe.

When I practised in San Francisco I worked with many clients in the LGBT community, and saw clients who had been in the Vietnam and Gulf wars. I have seen clients in NZ who have experienced combat in other wars. I have provided services for the Police and Firemen in both countries.

I have had twelve years of experience in NZ working with ISSC clients who have had sexual trauma.

I have worked in both primary and secondary Mental health settings, and have worked in Rotorua and Taupo for Lakes DHB.

I have worked for the Department of Corrections providing assessments and treatment to prisoners in Rangipo Prison.

I have had 22 years of experience working for Employee Assistance programs In the USA and New Zealand.

Prior to practising psychology, I trained at a London Hospital and the University of Surrey in a programme which certified me for Health Visiting, Community Nursing and Intensive Care Nursing.

My passion for Holistic Health and certifications in nursing permitted me to create and implement a Holistic Health program in San Francisco.

I have worked in the pain management field in the USA and NZ for many years.

My master's thesis was published and addressed the Relationship Between Personality, Health Symptoms and Disease.

I have certifications in Biofeedback, (including Neurofeedback) and have been involved in Heart Math research in California.

I have worked with children and adults and am certified in Couples and Family therapy.

I have been trained in many therapeutic modalities and work to fit these to the needs of clients. These therapies are Jungian, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, Eriksonian Hypnotherapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), EFT (tapping) and Schema Therapy.

I utilise Somatic and Polyvagal therapies when working with clients who have experienced trauma.

I am a member of the NZ Psychological Society, the American Association for Psychologists (APA) and NZ Pain Society (NZPS).

In my spare time I sculpt, paint and write poetry.

Presently I am working from a home office in Rotorua. I also provide Telehealth as a result of the Pandemic.
